12/05/2021 - Baseball Factory Evaluation - Houston, TX Griffin is a C who will graduate in 2023. Tall frame thick build with strength present and room to add throughout. At C, he works to center the baseball, with quick/fluid footwork, and has an easy sit. Presents a good target as he gains ground to second base. He works his thumb under baseball with a quick/clean exchange. Made accurate/on-line throws to 2nd, with a high 3/4 release point, and arm velocity up to 74mph and a best pop time of 2.2 seconds. Creates good blocking angles and rolls his shoulders. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and square stance. Gets started on-time, with a strong top hand, and hits into a firm front side. Showed ability to deliver the barrel and has a fast bat through the hitting zone. He hit balls consistently into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 83mph. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Griffin having a bright future on the baseball field.

BASEBALL
Since the age of 4, Griffin has been playing within a combined Select and Little League baseball environment. Throughout the years Griffin has mainly played Third base. Going into his High School years Griffin transitioned to catcher where he now is the starting Varsity catcher for Clements High School in Sugar Land, Texas. As a 4 hole hitter, his bat has consistently been coached under Kyle Washington. Home Runs and Base Hits are routine with a couple Grand Slams thrown into the mix.
CrossFit / Weightlifting
Griffin has been following the CrossFit path since the age of 11. Weightlifting, Olympic Lifting and Power training are routine. You will find Griffin in the weight room or the gym even after an organized school practice.
